Evidence collection
There are many types of evidence in a crime scene. The first one is called trace evidence, it contains: dirt,soil,twigs,fibers,sand,grass,leaves, tape,gravel and bullet fragments. When the proof is identified you should collect it and follow the steps below: 1.Take a photo of it and document it 2.Secure the data(place it somewhere safe fe.in an envelope or in a bag) 3.Close,seal or tape a paperbag/envelope and label it. 4.Put a date,signature and time on the package. The second type is biological evidence. It includes skin,blood,semen,hair,urine and saliva.Swabs can include fe.bitemarks,nails,buccal or skin. Hair should be placed in a wrapping. The same process for packaging,securing and labeling is used for the collection of trace evidence. The third type is clothing evidence. If the person is wearing the clothes they had at the time of the crime,all items can be considered as evidence.
